The Desert Rose is an exotic looking succulent with glossy green leaves and red-pink flowers when in bloom. It’s a popular choice for bonsai, in part owing to the swollen caudex which stores water. Adenium Obesum (commonly known as the Desert Rose) is a shrubby perennial from the Apocynaceae family. The stem tapers with height and at the top large flowers appear in Summer, showing off their colours of red pink or white. These flowers sit majestically atop leaves that are long and oval in shape.
