Description
ECHEVERIA PLUTO GALAXY CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Echeverias are easy care low maintenance house plants. They store water in their succulent leaves and therefore are very drought tolerant.
- Watering: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy is a succulent and prefers well-draining soil that dries out between waterings. Water the plant thoroughly, allowing the water to drain out of the bottom of the pot, and then wait until the soil has completely dried out before watering again.
- Light: To help your Echeveria Pluto Galaxy display its striking colors, it’s best to position it in a sunny spot if you reside in the UK. While some online sources advise against direct sunlight, this plant originates from Mexico where the sun is intense. In the UK, a location that receives a comparable amount of bright indirect light to Mexico would be deemed a sunny spot and can significantly enhance the plant’s growth.
- Temperature: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy prefers warm temperatures and typically thrives in a temperature range of 18-27°C. However, exposing the plant to lower temperatures in winter can actually promote flowering in spring and intensify the vibrancy of its colors. While Echeveria Pluto Galaxy should be shielded from frost, it can generally tolerate temperatures in the single digits Celsius.
- Soil: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy prefers well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. I sell specialist free draining compost here, or make your own by combining regular potting soil with perlite, sand, or gravel.
- Fertilizer: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy doesn’t require frequent fertilization, but you can use a general fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) to encourage healthy growth.
- Pruning: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy doesn’t require much pruning, but you can remove any dead or damaged leaves to keep the plant looking tidy.
-
Propagation: Echeveria Pluto Galaxy can be propagated easily by taking stem cuttings or by separating offsets (small plants that grow from the base of the main plant). Allow the cuttings or offsets to dry out for a day or two before planting them in well-draining soil.
