SENECIO PEREGRINUS – String of Dolphins

The “String of Dolphins” is a charming succulent plant known for its unique appearance. Its botanical name is Senecio peregrinus. It’s a hybrid plant that combines the characteristics of two other popular succulents: the String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus) and the Candle Plant (Senecio articulatus).

The String of Dolphins features trailing stems with small, curved leaves that resemble leaping dolphins or jumping fish, hence its name. It’s a great choice for hanging baskets or tall containers where its cascading growth habit can be showcased. Like other succulents, it prefers bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. It’s essential to water it sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.

This plant adds a whimsical touch to any indoor garden or succulent collection with its playful and distinctive appearance.
